Connecticut Driver Ends GSPSS Season on a High Note

Ray Christian III ended his 2019 Granite State Pro Stock Series campaign on a high note, scoring a dominant win in the rain-shortened season finale at Claremont Motorsports Park (NH) on Sunday afternoon.

Christian had a fast car all afternoon en route to his second GSPSS victory of the 2019 season.  He won his heat race and transferred to the top six qualifying re-draw, where he drew the pole.  The Connecticut native grabbed the lead on the initial start, leading all 86 caution-free laps to take home the checkered flag.

“It was pretty good,” Christian said after the race.  “I was trying to save something at the end just in case we got a late yellow.  We saw the rain coming at the drop of the green, so we said we’re just going to go set a pace and hopefully it works out for us if it goes a hundred [laps], and if it doesn’t work out then it doesn’t work out.  We weren’t going to take a chance.”

For Christian, the 2019 season was the solid run the team needed, and they are all looking forward to returning in 2020 and fighting for the title once again.
